The shape of the leaves; the way it trails; the non stop flowers; and the scent those flowers produce; are all reasons we enjoy growing this species.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the wild, this Hoya can be found in the Himalayas and India, as well as in South East Asian countries like Thailand and Mayanmar. It is a tropical epiphyte, that enjoys growing off of larger plants, where it cascades down, showing off its gorgeous white and pink blooms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe jagged, triangular leaf shape of the Bella feels jurassic, almost like the sharp pointed teeth of a prehistoric predator. This contrasts nicely with the delicate blooms, which look like they're made of porcelain and smell like fresh laundry.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe find this Hoya fairly easy to maintain as long as you give it lots of bright light and don't let the soil sit dry for too long, as it is quite a thirsty plant for the genus. Alternatively, it doesn't like soggy soil either, so always wait for most of the pot to dry out before you give it a big drink. Due to the high altitude of this environment, temperatures can drop to lows of 10ºC. Although we wouldn't risk these temperatures indoors, it just shows you how tolerant this particular Alocasia is to temperature fluctuations. However, for healthy and consistent growth, we recommend growing in temperatures of around 18ºC or above. We find this Alocasia to be fairly low light tolerant, but again, is best grown in bright conditions if you want to see it thrive. Water when the top third of the pot is dry and you'll have a happy Alocasia.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIts ease of care and stunning visuals, make this Alocasia a top choice if you're wanting to get into the genus.
