Sedum Morganianum
This trailing succulent is sure to stand out in any collection, and can reach up to 60cm in length!
Sedum's are so easy to propagate and can grow a whole new plant from a single leaf! If you knock or repot your plant and a few leaves fall off (which they almost certainly will do), don't worry! Either pop them back into the same pot, or place them on top of some new soil and they will soon push out roots. Not long after that you will get leaves, and after that another little plant!
This Sedum needs at least a couple of hours of direct sun a day, so save this plant for your sunniest windowsill. Native to Mexico and Honduras, this succulent can be found growing off of vertical cliff faces, in cool tropical climates where rainfall is limited and seasonal. Because of this, the Sedum Morganianum is very drought tolerant and when cared for indoors should only be watered when the soil has completely dried out.
As this plants structure is quite fragile, we recommend only repotting it every 2-3 years, gradually sizing up the pot. This plant doesn't naturally grow terrestrially, so it doesn't like too much dense soil!
We fertilise this succulent regularly in the growing season but not at all in Autumn and Winter. Any feed specific for cacti & succulents will do the trick, alternatively so will a gentle seaweed fertiliser. To make this plant even more appealing, it is even tolerant of temperature fluctuations and can handle both extreme highs and lows!
