Adiantum Capillus-Veneris, or the Southern Maidenhair Fern, is the kind of plant that feels like it belongs in an old glasshouse. With soft, fan-shaped leaflets perched on thin black stems, it creates a delicate, cascading effect that feels light as air.
Native to temperate and tropical regions around the world, this fern loves humidity, gentle light, and consistently moist soil. It’s happiest in shaded spots with high moisture - so it’s right at home in a bathroom for example. Just don’t let it dry out completely, or it’ll let you know by curling its leaves.
