Plerandra Elegantissima 'Bianca'
Plerandra Elegantissima ‘Bianca’ (formerly known as Schefflera Elegantissima) is a true statement plant - tall, slender, and dramatic. Its long, narrow leaves are finely serrated, almost finger-like, and are framed by a thin white margin on the edges of its leaves. As it matures, it becomes more tree-like, adding some structural intrigue to any room.
Native to New Caledonia, this plant loves warmth and bright, indirect light. It doesn’t enjoy cold draughts or overly soggy soil, so make sure it’s in a free-draining mix and let the top layer dry out between waterings. Humidity is a plus, but it’ll tolerate average indoor levels just fine.
Also sometimes referred to as False Aralia, this plant is perfect if you're looking for something sculptural - it grows tall and lean, making it ideal for corners or spaces that need vertical greenery without much bulk. We've even used these when making Kokedamas, as there delicate growth compliments the moss balls perfectly.
