Alocasia plants like their soil to stay moist, if they dry out too much, they’ll start dropping leaves. This mix is designed to hold water well without becoming soggy, so the roots get the moisture they need while still getting plenty of air. It includes ingredients that help keep the soil light and breathable, with small gaps that let oxygen reach the roots. 

While it’s made for Alocasia, this mix also works well for Oxalis and Caladium and many others.
