How to care for Hoya Latifolia 'Pot of Gold'

  • Lighting: Bright, indirect light is best, with a couple hours of gentle direct sun. East or West facing windowsills, near South-facing, or under grow lights.
  • Watering: Water once top third of soil is dry.
  • Humidity: Thrives in humidity of 50% above.
  • Temperature: Ideal temperatures range between 16-28°C. Keep above 12°C at all times.
  • Soil Preference: To suit their epiphytic nature, Hoyas need a loose and chunky mix. We recommend the Anthurium & Orchid mix.
  • Good to Know: Latifolia is a sensitive species, prone to stress and shock easier than other species in the genus. Therefore we wouldn't recommend a Latifolia as your introduction to Hoyas. They enjoy consistency, including temperatures and watering schedule.

How We Care For Our Plants

Here at The Watered Garden, we treat every plant like it’s part of our own collection at home. While in our care, each plant gets daily spot checks, the right amount of watering, and continuous monitoring for any pests or diseases. We clean leaves, repot when necessary, and make sure they’re in perfect shape before they reach you. It’s our way of ensuring that every plant you bring home is happy, healthy, and will continue to be that way for years to come.
