Pilea Peperomioides
Pilea Peperomioides, often nicknamed the Chinese Money Plant, is a fun little plant with quite the fanbase. Its round, glossy leaves perch on long, slender stems, giving it a quirky, almost alien look.
Native to the Yunnan province of China, this plant thrives in bright, indirect light and likes the top of the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. It’s fast-growing and loves to produce tiny baby plants (or pups) around its base, ready to be potted up and shared. Honestly, it’s one of the easiest plants to propagate, which probably explains how it's made its way into so many homes across the world.
It’s compact, cheerful, and perfect for shelves, desks, or gifting to friends - especially as it traditionally brings some good green luck!
