Anthurium Vittarifolium
Part of a group of Anthuriums commonly known as 'Strap Leaf' Anthuriums, the Vittarifolium is one for those who like long, pendulous leaves. Perfect in a hanging basket up high, where its long leaves can drape down.
Native to the humid forests of South America, you will find it growing as an epiphyte on other plants. As it matures, its strap leaves grow longer and longer, reaching up to 6 feet in length. The leaves are a rich green, with one prominent light vein growing down the centre. Thick and robust in texture, the leaves also have a slight sheen to them, making them look silky soft.
If you are looking to fill a high shelf in need of some green, or a bright corner that's desperate for a hanging plant, this Anthurium could be just the right fit for you. Its vertical draping growth habit, is perfect for narrow spaces, but it still grows bushy and compact, so is sure to add a jungly vibe to your home.
