Ficus Elastica is commonly known as a rubber plant, and is one of the retro classics of the houseplant world. They are ideal for offices and homes as they're able to cope with a large variety of environments, and grow tall and narrow and so don't take up valuable floor space. Rubber plants can grow to be truly impressive with huge, dark, glossy leaves growing from the main central stem.
Ficus Elastica prefer to be kept in a bright, humid spot with occasional sunlight. Their leaves can be wiped to keep them dust free and shiny. Note that the leaf colour turns bright green in lower light environments and a much darker brown in brighter spots, which is a good indicator of whether they're receiving enough sunlight. This plant comes in a plastic pot. The decorative pot shown in the image is not included with the purchase. All our plants are living objects and will therefore vary slightly in appearance from the images shown.
