The Ficus 'Ginseng' is the perfect beginner plant for those wanting to get into the art of Bonsai. It is also a fabulous statement plant for terrariums if you're wanting to add more height or add something more established to your enclosed rainforest environment.

The 'Ginseng', which means root in Chinese, is a species of Banyan tree, which is what makes it such a popular houseplant. As it develops, this plant spreads along the surface of the soil by producing 'accessory trunks' which root into the ground, making it look like the plant has legs. These are a bonsai specimen, which means these little plants are a lot older than they look!

How We Care For Our Plants

Here at The Watered Garden, we treat every plant like it’s part of our own collection at home. While in our care, each plant gets daily spot checks, the right amount of watering, and continuous monitoring for any pests or diseases. We clean leaves, repot when necessary, and make sure they’re in perfect shape before they reach you. It’s our way of ensuring that every plant you bring home is happy, healthy, and will continue to be that way for years to come.
