The 'Golden Veins' is a sought after hybrid of the Maranta Leuconeura, boasting thin yellow stripes and brown splotches on its oval green leaves. These golden veins make the plant look like its glowing from the inside out.

This Maranta looks like a diva, but it is actually rather easy to care for. Provide with bright light, but avoid direct sun, keep consistently moist and avoid placing in cold or draughty rooms, and you should have a happy plant. These plants thrive best when watered with rain or distilled water, but it won't kill the plant if you use tap, it may just cause some minor leaf burn.

Pet safe, easy to grow and lovely to look at - what a winner.

How to care for Maranta Leuconeura 'Golden Veins'

  • Lighting: Bright, indirect light to bright shade. Avoid direct sun.
  • Watering: Water when top quarter of soil has dried.
  • Humidity: Prefers 50% and above. Avoid placing near radiators and draughts.
  • Temperature: In the range of 18-24°C is best. Avoid temperatures below 15°C.
  • Soil Preference: A moisture retentive mix that supports fine root systems. We recommend the Calathea & Maranta mix.
  • Good to Know: Crisping on the tips of leaves is often due to lack of humidity or inconsistent watering. This is mainly just aesthetic damage, which doesn't kill the plant if remedied quickly.
