Peperomia Angulata is an easy care, pet friendly, and visually interesting plant to have in any collection. Growing from succulent stems, the petite, ellipse-shaped leaves showcase both deep and bright greens as well as red and bronze hues. If the colour palette hasn't sold you, maybe the pinstripe pattern on the leaves will.

Native to the Amazon region of South America, this Peperomia enjoys the same conditions as other Peperomias; bright, indirect light and a light hand with the watering can. It’s a fan of humidity but doesn’t like soggy roots, so make sure your soil drains well.

Perfect for adding colour to a small shelving unit, this plant won't get too out of hand, and will both trail and get bushy on top, making it a cheerful and low-maintenance addition to your collection.

How to care for Peperomia Angulata 'Rocca Scuro'

  • Lighting: Bright, indirect light, avoiding direct sun. North windowsills, or near an East or West facing window.
  • Watering: Let at least half of the pot dry out in between watering. If ever unsure, leave for longer as fairly drought tolerant.
  • Humidity: Although it can tolerant average household humidity, 60% or more will give you faster and healthier growth.
  • Temperature: Will thrive in 18-24°C, but can tolerate as low as 10°C.
  • Soil Preference: A well draining mix suited to humidity loving plants with fine roots. We recommend the Ficus mix.
  • Good to Know: Super easy to propagate! Either stem cuttings in water, or leaf cuttings in soil, this plant is keen to grow!

How We Care For Our Plants

Here at The Watered Garden, we treat every plant like it’s part of our own collection at home. While in our care, each plant gets daily spot checks, the right amount of watering, and continuous monitoring for any pests or diseases. We clean leaves, repot when necessary, and make sure they’re in perfect shape before they reach you. It’s our way of ensuring that every plant you bring home is happy, healthy, and will continue to be that way for years to come.
