Philodendron 'Jose Buono'
The Philodendron 'Jose Buono' is a beautiful climbing Philodendron, sure to stand out in any collection. This plant boats thick, green leaves splashed with cream variegation, that when given the right care can produce leaves up to 60cm in size.
Native to South America, this Philodendron, like most climbers in the genus, enjoys bright dappled light, medium to high humidity, consistent warmth and watering once the top soil has thoroughly dried. In the wild, you will find it climbing up other plants, allowing the leaves are get larger and the variegation to become more intense. The best way to replicate this indoors is with a moss pole. We recommend a pole with live sphagnum, but a coir moss pole would also work.
For those who love variegation, this plant is a no brainer to add to your collection. The variegation is stable, meaning the plant cannot revert back to a non variegated specimen. If the leaves go fully green, this is a sign the plant needs more light. Place it in brighter light and the variegation should come back soon after.
