Sansevieria 'Jamaiquina Queen'
The classic colour and patterning that make Snake Plants so popular, with a little orange thrown in too. The 'Jamaiquina Queen' is a mighty houseplant due to its ease of care, striking pattern, and its structural growth habit.
Sansevieria (now reclassified as Dracaena, but we still call them Sansevieria) are native to tropical West Africa, growing rigid leaves in a crown formation. This particular cultivar produces wide flat leaves with dark and light green splotches which are delicately framed by bright orange margins on the edge of each leaf.
Snake plants are such wonderful houseplants and really don't need much to do well in your home. The key is to always let the soil dry out in between waterings as they hate sitting in waterlogged soil. The 'Jamaiquina Queen' is low-light tolerant, but will be happiest in bright, indirect light. The brighter the light, the quicker the growth, but in general, this genus is rather slow growing, so is perfect for placing in particular spots such as tabletops and windowsills.
